What We Do

We connect human development, technology, leadership, and economic opportunity.

846s.org does not operate as a collection of disconnected programs. Our experiences are connected through the Human Experience Ecosystem, a community centered framework that helps people move from reflection to capability, from capability to contribution, and from contribution to leadership.

Emotional Intelligence and AIEI

We help participants understand emotions, recognize patterns, develop empathy, strengthen communication, manage challenges, and build healthier relationships. African Inspired Emotional Intelligence brings the five pillars of Emotional Intelligence into conversation with African proverbs, storytelling, cultural wisdom, community responsibility, and lived experience.

Young people practice leadership by facilitating conversations, mentoring peers, demonstrating technology, solving problems collaboratively, engaging with elders and business owners, and contributing to community projects. Leadership develops through participation, responsibility, reflection, and visible action.

Drone and Workforce Development

Participants build drones, practice safe flight, prepare for FAA Part 107 certification, plan missions, explore aerial photography and mapping, and investigate career and entrepreneurship pathways. Drone education serves as both a technical doorway and a human development experience.

Mentoring

Mentoring provides trusted relationships through which participants can ask questions, process challenges, develop confidence, plan next steps, and learn from people with different experiences. Participants can eventually become peer mentors, allowing knowledge and encouragement to circulate throughout the community.

Portfolio Based Workforce Development

Participants create visible evidence of what they can do through authentic projects. Their portfolios may include drone photography, aerial mapping, storytelling, mission planning, leadership, mentoring, technical skills, entrepreneurship, and community service. A résumé describes experience. A portfolio demonstrates capability.

A Résumé Describes Experience. A Portfolio Demonstrates Capability.

Every experience is designed so participants leave with something they can show, teach, and build from.
